DITT Scoops Master Builders Award 2013

The Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the best builders in the UK, is unique. Nominations must come from a satisfied client, and builders are judged on their technical ability together with their customer service skills.

DITT Construction Ltd is the winner for their work building Lerwick Baptist Church.

DITT Construction Ltd was chosen by the region’s judges to win the Commercial prize and will now go through to compete in the national finals. The national winners of the eleventh Master Builder of the Year Awards will be announced by architect and TV presenter George Clarke, who will present the coveted accolades at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 20 March 2013.

Grahame Barn, FMB Services Director for Scotland, said: “The Master Builder of the Year Awards give clients the opportunity to celebrate a job well done and to thank their builder. The standard of entries this year is amongst the highest we have seen and reflects the expertise, attention to detail and professionalism of the region’s builders. What really stands out is the extent to which our regional winners were prepared to go beyond the call of duty to build a good working relationship with their clients to achieve the best possible result for them.

“DITT Construction Ltd should feel justly proud of their achievement in winning the Scotland Commercial prize.”
