This landmark building houses Shetland’s historic artefacts and archive material.
The contract was won against interest from nationally based contractors.
The project was built during 2004/06 on the Lerwick waterfront at North Ness, adjacent to Hay’s Dock.
The project also involved the restoration of the dock walls, finger pier and pier store.
