DITT awarded new contract by Hjaltland Housing Association

DITT are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the new development of 27 one bedroom flats in the heart of the conservation area of Lerwick by Hjaltland Housing Association, who DITT have a long working relationship with.

This contract worth approximately £4 million, features three separate blocks of flats, situated in a prominent part of the town opposite Islesburgh Community Centre, bringing new life to an area which housed old buildings in need of repair and maintenance.

Site clearance has already commenced with building works due to start on completion of demolitions.  The site layout of the new contemporary development reflects the surrounding area of traditional stone build block of semi-detached or terraced housing already found on King Harald Street.
