We have recently been awarded an ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification by the independent accreditation agency SGS UK Ltd. This follows on from our ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification awarded in 2009. These internationally recognised standards focus on improving the company's overall management system and processes and ensure that we achieve good environmental practice and operate in a sustainable manner.
The accreditation agency remarked that: “The audit had been conducted in a most open, professional and conducive environment, and extended their thanks to all at DITT for contributing to the successful outcome”.
DITT Construction is the only building and civil engineering firm in Shetland to successfully hold both ISO Standards, and is one of only a handful in NE Scotland to be accredited to this level. The continuing independent audit of their management systems year on year ensures these high standards are maintained. This in turn guarantees the company consistently meet their customer’s quality and environmental requirements and continually improve their overall performance in building construction and development.
